About YASS OUTDOOR POWER CENTRE
Yass Outdoor Power Centre was originally established in 1964 by Bob Burke and operated from a small shed next door to our current location in Comur Street Yass.
As a STIHL Dealer, the business quickly grew and in 1970 moved into a new building in our current location.
In 2003, Yass Outdoor Power Centre became one of the first fully imaged STIHL Specialist Dealers.
On 17th August 2006, Current owners Yass locals Mark & Bernadette Lachlan purchased Yass Outdoor Power Centre.
Since that time, the business has grown considerably and added Honda Power Equipment to our range in September 2007.
In September 2009, we took a major step forward by becoming a Walker Mowers Service Plus Dealer.
In December 2009, with other business changes happening in Yass, we took over the Cox Mowers Dealership.
In August 2011, we stepped up again becoming to being a full Walker Mowers Dealership and also became a Bobcat Zero Turn Dealer.
In 2022 we took on a number of new brands to compliment our already impressive range of garden and outdoor equipment. These included the ever increasing range of STIHL battery powered garden equipment, Wolf Garten hand tools, TYM tractors, TGB quad bikes and side by side vehicles and of course the original pellet grills from Traeger !!
During 2020 the business underwent a major transformation with the complete rebuild of our building. This process took nearly 3 years to complete and in January 2023 we were excited to present a brand new expanded modern showroom and workshop. New Stihl imaging will be the last piece of the puzzle and should be completed by Easter 2023.
